Fundamentals of décor

Home decor is based on rules and fundamentals that lead to the best home decor
First: the color combination
  1. Colors are very important and should be combined and matched correctly to have a great effect, whether at home, office, or any place.
  2. Looking for harmony and choice reflects the personality and taste of every person. Where some people deal with colors without knowledge or background about the reflections and use of each color, but they only match them based on their feelings and tastes. Its really important to have background about colors to know basic things like primary colors, secondary colors, integrated and dissimilar colors, and many others.
Big mistakes in choosing colors:
choosing dissimilar colors; which is about breaking classical rules;
1) complementary colors; which means choosing two opposite colors in the color circle, like green and red, while other colors can be added by blending them in different proportions.
2) Complementary fragmented; here we choose the primary color for the project and then choose two close colors for the complementary one, for example, we choose red as the primary color, and the close colors of the complementary color green.
3) Trio-harmony; this is about making color choice based on drawing equilateral triangle in the color circle, and the angles point the project colors, like green, orange, or purple.
- Gradient colors
This option doesn't require bravery in choosing colors, and can be applied anywhere at home, and fits all ages.
1) Contiguous colors; this starts with choosing the primary color for the project, like blue, and its contiguous colors like bluish green, and bluish purple will give the space one color shade.
2) Elementary color; the project will be based on one color, and graded with derived colors, when blended with neutral colors like white, gray, and black.
- Important note;
It is possible to use dissimilar color option when its hard to use primary color in the circle. That process happens through increasing the color brightness by adding white color.
It is preferred to use one of the brightest colors of the chosen color in empty spaces.
When colors look pale in gradient colors, another complementary color can be added with small proportions to make it vivid.
