نشأ أسلوب الباروك للديكور الداخلي في عصر النهضة في أوروبا ، ويتميز هذا الأسلوب من التصميم والتزيين الداخلي ، بالشكل البيضاوي للغرف والأشكال المنحنية فيها متداخلة مع الأقواس ، وهو يتميز بالإفراط في التزيين على وجه العموم . حيث يستعمل في هذا الأسلوب أو الطراز من التزيين ، الزخارف الوردية ، والأوراق النباتية ، والأكاليل ، وغيرها . وتتميز غرف المعيشة لهذا الطراز بوساعتها ورحابتها . توحي النظرة الشاملة لهذا الأسلوب التزييني وبعد اكتماله بالفخامة الساحرة والحيوية ، حيث يتطلب هذا الطراز من الديكور الداخلي انتقاء المواد المرادة والإكسسوارات بشكل دقيق وحرص شديد . من أهم العناصر الرئيسية المستعملة في هذا الطراز (الباروك) ، الحلي المزخرفة ، التزيينات الفخمة وغالية الثمن ، الألوان المضيئة مثل اللون العنابي ، واللون الياقوتي ، واللون الزمردي في غرف المعيشة ، مع استعمال الذهب المتداخل بشكل إلزامي في هذا الطراز . أما الأقمشة المستعملة في أسلوب الباروك للتزيين والديكور ، فبفضل أن تكون من المخمل لأنه يوحي بالجو الملكي داخل الغرفة . م. طارق سكيك رئيس قسم التصميم...
